Outstanding Graduates
NMSU Alumni’s Highest Honor
Each semester, the NMSU Alumni recognizes graduating seniors from each academic college, plus a master’s and a doctoral student, to receive the Outstanding Graduate Award.
This is the NMSU Alumni’s highest honor for students. Awardees are selected by their college deans and a committee within their respective colleges or the Graduate School. The recognition celebrates exceptional academic achievements, demonstrated leadership skills, and a strong commitment to the university and community through volunteerism.
Graduate Award Luncheon
The NMSU Alumni hosts the Outstanding Graduate Award Luncheon the Friday before each semester’s undergraduate commencement to present the award to each recipient in the presence of their family and friends. This spring’s luncheon will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025.
