How to Give
Faculty and Staff Giving

Become a Crimson Colleague
Crimson Colleagues are staff and faculty members who make charitable gifts to NMSU to positively affect the lives of students across the NMSU system.
As an employee and member of the NMSU community, you already play an important role in the success of our students. By enhancing your role with a charitable gift, you make an invaluable investment in their future and in the place you work. Your gift provides merit and need-based financial aid for deserving students, as well as support for faculty development, teaching, and research programs.
You get a front-row seat to watch your investment grow.
As a member of the NMSU community, your gift represents a personal decision to support what you love—in any department, program, or college. Private philanthropy has never been more essential for sustaining and expanding student support. Show our students that you believe in our university through your gift.
Give Through Payroll Deduction
Payroll deduction is one of the most convenient ways to make your gift. You can enroll in payroll deduction by filling out a short online form. Log in using your my.nmsu.edu credentials and simply choose the amount to have automatically deducted from each paycheck.
If you’d like to make a one-time gift, you can do that too! Simply visit our online giving form, or feel free to write a personal check. Please note the program, college, department, or scholarship you’d like to support on the memo line and make the check payable to the NMSU Foundation.
You can mail the check to:

The Cornerstone Endowment
At New Mexico State University, our faculty and staff are the heart of our institution, embodying the mission and vision of the place we proudly call “home.” Your dedication shapes the future of our students, proving every day the transformative power of a college degree.
In recognition of your unwavering commitment, the NMSU Foundation is excited to offer a new opportunity exclusively for the faculty, staff, and retirees of NMSU and the NMSU Foundation: the Cornerstone Endowment.
This endowment provides a meaningful way for you to leave a legacy. With a more accessible contribution level, the Cornerstone Endowment allows you to make a significant impact on our students and programs. Your support will ensure the continuation of high-quality education and help fulfill the dreams of future generations.
The Cornerstone Endowment is available to current NMSU faculty and staff, as well as emeritus NMSU employees. Additionally, non-employees can participate as primary donors if they have an NMSU faculty, staff, or emeritus faculty member as a co-sponsor.
Please contact our development office at 575-201-9023 or email ag@nmsufoundation.org for assistance setting up a Cornerstone Endowment. A member of the Philanthropy team will guide you through the process. Visit the site linked below to complete a payroll deduction form.

Make a gift from your will, trust, or retirement accounts
A planned gift is an excellent way to support New Mexico State University, all while working on long-term plans.
Many supporters of New Mexico State University plan their gifts to the NMSU Foundation because they want to make a real difference in the lives of students or faculty. Planned gifts amplify the joy of giving because these gifts may reduce one’s income tax, negate capital gains tax, allow assets to pass down at a reduced estate tax, and even provide supplemental income.
For more information on planned giving, please contact Steven Covington at (575) 646-3190 or (800) 342-6678 or plannedgiving@nmsufoundation.org.
