This Giving Tuesday, the NMSU Foundation is turning up the volume with “More Cowbell More Impact” — a high-energy, cowbell-filled celebration at Corbett Center Student Union. Students, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends will come together to support what they love most about NMSU.

Our cover story features Ashley Beyer ’13, southern New Mexico regional director for U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich whose lifelong connection to the land drives her work in rural resilience and environmental stewardship.

Khale Lucero ’25 knows all about hard work. From Blanco and Bloomfield, NM, Khale’s grandpa, father, uncles, and siblings all earned their living in the oil fields. It wasn’t easy, and Khale’s father and uncle had to take jobs 500 miles away, sometimes returning home a mere six days a month. Read Khale’s full story here…
