Nominations Open
Good news! You still have time! Nominations for NMSU Alumni’s most prestigious awards will remain open until June 16 at 5 p.m.
The James F. Cole Memorial Award for Service is NMSU’s way of celebrating and honoring alumni who have made a lifetime of exceptional contributions to society and paved the way for others, and the Young Alumni Service Award recognizes an emerging young alum who has taken up the mantle of service and leadership — and is already making the world a better place.
These awards will be presented at the Distinguished Alumni Award Dinner and Ceremony during NMSU’s Homecoming on Friday, November 7, 2025, at the Las Cruces Convention Center.

Scholarship spotlight
“The more I applied myself and the more I got involved, the quicker I found what I wanted to do.”
Colin received two endowed scholarships established by NMSU alumni and interned at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) in Atlanta, Georgia. “I want to help people feel confident that they’re managing their money wisely, whether they’re with a big bank or a small one. That’s something everyone can benefit from.”
