Honor Tradition, Celebrate Aggie Pride

NMSU Alumni is proud to honor graduating seniors and alumni through one of the university’s most cherished traditions, the Class Ring Ceremony, held the Wednesday before commencement.

The Spring NMSU Class Ring Ceremony will take place May 13 from 5:30–7:30 p.m. at the Stan Fulton Center. This free event offers ring recipients the opportunity to celebrate their achievements and share their Aggie pride with family and friends.

For more than 90 years, NMSU students have said “yes” to the ring, choosing to wear a symbol that connects thousands of Aggie alumni across generations. The ceremony includes remarks from university leaders and the formal presentation of rings, each attached to a chile ristra, an Aggie tradition.

Following the ceremony, recipients may take commemorative photos with Pistol Pete and leave messages for future Aggies in the Ring Ceremony memory book, connecting past, present, and future generations.
