“A Grand in the Stands” Scholarship Giveaway
Undergraduates Can Win $1,000 Just for Attending Aggie Games!
Full-time, main-campus undergraduate students in good standing have a chance to win a $1,000 scholarship just by attending athletic events! In the 2025–2026 academic year, the NMSU Alumni will award a total of nine “Grand in the Stands” scholarships.
Join us for the remainder of our “Grand in the Stands” events for the 2025–2026 season at select men’s and women’s home basketball games. Come cheer for our fabulous Aggies and get ready to score a free throw for your tuition bill if your name is drawn!
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
- Come to the Game
Check the schedule for “Grand in the Stands” matchups in basketball, soccer, and volleyball. - Sign Up Early!
Visit the Grand in the Stands table before the game starts. All you need is:
– Name
– Aggie ID
– Phone number
You’ve got until halftime to get your name in the drawing! - Stay in Your Seat
At halftime, listen for the announcement. If your name is called…
Claim Your Grand!
Head onto the court or field to accept your prize and come one step closer to taking bite out of your tuition bill!

Who Is Eligible
- Full-time undergraduate students enrolled at NMSU Main Campus
- Students in good academic standing
Who Is Not Eligible
- Students enrolled at DACC or other NMSU branch campuses
- Graduate students (master’s or Ph.D.)
- Part-time undergraduates
- Students not in good standing
- Certain athletic scholarship recipients (eligibility rules apply)
