Award-winning filmmaker and associate professor in NMSU’s Creative Media Institute (CMI), Ross Marks is the founder and executive director of the Las Cruces International Film Festival.

This festival—the largest film festival in the country run by a university—is run by CMI students and brings world-class films, filmmakers, workshops, and celebrity guests to Las Cruces and NMSU. Since it began, it has brought more than 80,000 visitors from around the world, had more than 700 student participants, and has brought in almost 1,500 filmmakers.
