The Creative Media Institute (CMI) and Sociedad para Las Artes welcome the 2022 – 2025 New Mexico Poet Laureate Lauren Camp to the Nelson-Boswell Reading Series on Friday, February 28, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. in the CMI theater.
There is no fee for attending this event, and it is open to the public.
A 2023 Academy of American Poets Laureate Fellow and Black Earth Institute Fellow, Lauren is the author of eight poetry collections, one of which is based on her experience as Astronomer-in-Residence at Grand Canyon National Park. Her honors include the Dorset Prize and the Arab American Book Award, and she has been artist-in-residence at many prominent locations including Lowell Observatory and the Denver Botanic Gardens and a visiting writer at the Mayo Clinic.
Also reading will be MFA candidate Max Griego.
