The NMSU Foundation has an easy and fun way to help students succeed! We have introduced an Aggie Crowdfunding Initiative securely powered by Almabase, Inc.
What is Crowdfunding?
“Crowdfunding” means raising smaller gifts from many individuals through a secure and specialized online platform. Through crowdfunding, you become part of a community that comes together to help specific programs that need smaller, yet still critical, resources to maximize opportunities and minimize obstacles to student achievement.

Let’s Ring in NMSU Giving Tuesday!
This Giving Tuesday, the NMSU Foundation is turning up the volume with “More Cowbell • More Impact” — a high-energy, cowbell-filled celebration at Corbett Center Student Union. Students, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends will come together to support what they love most about NMSU.

What is the NMSU Foundation?
Established in 1959, the NMSU Foundation is a privately governed nonprofit corporation to support New Mexico State University. Our mission is to foster long-term relationships with our alumni, supporters, and community to secure, manage, steward, and protect a sustainable source of private resources that will enhance the ability of New Mexico State University to fulfill its land-grant mission. Every dollar given to the NMSU Foundation addresses a need that is identified by scholarship coordinators and faculty members.
How can I suggest a crowdfunding initiative?
We welcome your ideas! Please email your suggestion to annualgiving@nmsufoundation.org and include a brief description of the initiative, its purpose, and the fundraising goal.
Where will my gift go?
Your gift goes to the New Mexico State University Foundation and is applied to the fund designated in the crowdfunding project description.
Is my donation tax deductible?
Your gift may be tax deductible to the extent allowed by law, excluding the fair market value of any premium received. Refer to your receipt for information regarding any premium received and the fair market value. The deductible amount will be determined by subtracting the value of the premium from the total gift amount.
Will I receive a receipt?
Yes, you will receive a receipt via email for tax purposes.
When will my credit card be charged?
Your credit card will be charged immediately upon finalizing your gift on the website.

How do I support a project or fund that isn’t being crowdfunded?

How do I request a duplicate receipt?
Contact NMSU Foundation’s Gift Processing team at 575-201-9023 or giftproc@nmsufoundation.org to request a receipt be reissued.
Is my gift secure?
Absolutely. The crowdfunding gift process adheres to the same strict standards as gifts made through the NMSU Foundation website. Our secure crowdfunding platform is GiveCampus, which is Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) compliant, and processed through CyberSource, a certified Level 1 PCI Service Provider and leader in payment security.
