Save The Date To Make A Big Impact For NMSU On GIVINGTUESDAY 2024

The New Mexico State University Foundation will celebrate GivingTuesday 2024 on December 3, a special day when NMSU Aggie alumni and students from around the country come together to support the mission of NMSU. Held each year on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, this annual day of giving supports NMSU students by funding scholarships, assisting students in need, and creating new opportunities in the classroom, the lab, and beyond.

GivingTuesday was established in 2012 as a simple idea: a day encouraging people to do good. Today, it’s grown into a year-round global movement that inspires millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. Last year, the NMSU Foundation raised more than $300,000, thanks to more than 450 students and Aggies from around the world who care deeply about their alma mater. This year’s goal is to increase the number of donors to 600.

“GivingTuesday is our annual reminder to give back with gratitude, helping provide the vital support needed to make a meaningful impact on our students and community,” said Patrick Stewart, Vice President of Philanthropy and Alumni Relations. “This year, the NMSU Foundation is spotlighting nine impactful programs, each designed to help Aggies turn their dreams into reality and build a brighter future for all.”

While the campaign officially starts on December 3 at 12:01 a.m. and closes at midnight, contributors can begin making donations as early as today. The Foundation uses GiveCampus, a fundraising platform for nonprofit educational institutions, to safely and securely accept contributions to featured programs. All gifts are tax-deductible and can be made at https://nmsufoundation.org/givenow/web-givingtuesday.

Programs spotlighted in this year’s GivingTuesday campaign include the Aggie Athletic Club, the College of ACES Rodeo program, Honors College Dean’s Excellence Fund, College of Engineering Learning Communities, Library Emerging Technologies Lab, College of Arts and Sciences Art Museum, College of Business Student Professional Development Center, College of HEST Teacher Education, and Graduate School College Fund Supporting International Students. However, contributors can choose from hundreds of programs to support through the NMSU Foundation, spanning university initiatives, student services, college departments, athletics, and military programs.
